DMRE at the largest DMRE-exclusive size
Labels expecting to grow (a longer serialized identifier added later) benefit from starting at the largest available DMRE-exclusive size. This generator uses that size by default, so the printed footprint stays the same later.
Same generator, one preset applied
This experience uses the same Data Matrix Rectangular Extension capability as the primary generator, with the size fixed to the largest DMRE-exclusive rectangular size ("version": "26x64"), instead of the primary's own "8x96" example size.
Example data
The generator is seeded with a bwip-js-verified valid value, distinct from the primary's example.
Workflow
Enter your data, confirm the preview, then export SVG or PNG for the label artwork.
Job-specific settings
No job-specific options beyond the fixed rectangular size are applied here.
Scanning notes
A DMRE-exclusive size requires a reader whose Data Matrix decoder supports the DMRE size table -- not every legacy reader does.
Common mistakes
Data that exceeds even the largest DMRE-exclusive size's own capacity is rejected outright; splitting the data or using a general-purpose square Data Matrix symbol instead is the usual fix.
Standard
Data Matrix Rectangular Extension sizes are defined in ISO/IEC 21471, an extension to the base ISO/IEC 16022 Data Matrix standard.

For the original 6 rectangular sizes only, use the separate Data Matrix Rectangular generator; for square symbols, use the plain Data Matrix generator.
