Postal
Postal barcodes encode routing and tracking data for mail processing. Modern postal symbologies (such as the USPS Intelligent Mail Barcode) replaced older height-modulated formats with 4-state bar encoding for higher data density.
Choosing a format
- USPS Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMb) is the current standard for USPS-processed mail, encoding routing and tracking data in one symbol.
- Postal barcode placement and size requirements are set by the relevant postal authority, not by this site.
