PZN for a specific pharmaceutical product
Manufacturers and packagers producing a specific medicinal product use this generator seeded with that product's own assigned PZN.
Same generator, no special configuration
This experience uses the same PZN capability as the primary generator, with no separate options applied for this use case yet -- switching to the newer 8-digit PZN8 format is a single checkbox on the primary generator itself, not a separate tool.
Example data
The generator is seeded with a bwip-js-verified valid PZN, distinct from the primary's example, that you can replace with your product's assigned PZN.
Workflow
Enter your product's PZN body digits, confirm the computed check digit, then export SVG for packaging artwork.
Job-specific settings
No job-specific options are applied here beyond the primary's own defaults.
Scanning notes
PZN's Code 39-family symbol needs a clear quiet zone on both sides, the same as any other Code 39-based label.
Common mistakes
Supplying a self-computed check digit that does not match bwip-js's own calculation is the most common rejection.
Standard
PZN is documented in the bwip-js/BWIPP symbology reference.
